dude. Jewfish, short for jewel fish (for the glowy dots on their side) are not found anywhere else but Oz. You might have something LIKE it but trust me it aint the same.Epinephelus itajara is yours - Argyrosomus japonicus is ours. The Oz native name is "Mulloway". i cant believe the PC brigade forced you to invent the name Goliath grouper.

Very cool video, I had a couple of questions though. I spearfish in south florida so I'm sure we have different nicknames for fish, as our "jewfish" is actually a goliath grouper, a protected species. Also the parrotfish, I had no idea they were edible, either way regulations prevent us from killing reef fish.

really good video guys io have allways wante'd to try out spearfishing and since i have lived in australia for 3 years i have had chance but i havent done it :( now i live in norway where there is like no fish and cold water but i will try annyway even tough i will freeze to detath xD
