Dont you dive with a buoy? Nobody i know dives without it. Extra safety, nice place to keep the fish and other stuff like water etc.You can rest on it and a big plus is you can drop your belt without loosing it.

lol nice, one thing he didn't do though, support the diver back as your coming up and on the surface. I got that wrong in my practicle on the no bubbles freediving course.

yep it is nice if they have no weights but they should be floating at the deapth where shallow water blackout happens. i have never found it very hard surfacing them. but if you want to take it off thats cool. i know a few scuba divers that have been doing freedive comp safety that have had a few close shaves with falling weight belts.
