I found that the Carp in Lake Michigan are less skittish- other lakes in WI- as soon as the carp see's you- they take off. BUT we can also shoot Panfish (bluegills, sunfish, perch, crappies) and ROUGHFISH (Carp, Suckers, Gar, Burbot, Bullheads, Rock Bass, Stripe Bass, Redhorse, Shads, ect) It's weird the Perch in lakes other than Lake Michigan are very calm- But to hunt them in Lake Mich can be difficult and takes a good breath hold (to get the BIG Perch)

Wow, didn't know you can dive in those lakes over there. What else is there to shoot other than carp? They are huge but seem to be a little dumb. They let you come up and shoot them like that, or do they give you a little more sport. The vid seems to make them look like they just sit there. I'm jsut curious. Peace

LOL- The reason for the float lines is to pull our flags around- some, attach the line to their body- I prefer to have it on my gun- In the event I shoot a BIG Carp- I can let go and let it pull the float instead of holding on and having the spear rip out. They Carp tend to get a little bit bigger than 20" - the biggest one shot this year was 43# and about 39" long. The Float line is also My stringer- called a speed stringer- i detach at the guns handle and slide it through the gills.
